EDC Thailand 2026, the festival’s third edition, runs from 18 to 20 December 2026 at Rhythm Park in the Laguna area near Bang Tao Beach, Phuket, about 30 km from the airport. It moves from January to December, one week after Tomorrowland Thailand near Pattaya. Tickets (general admission and VIP) are on sale on the official site, and entry is for ages 20 and over (as of September 2026).
Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival first came to Phuket in January 2025, drawing around 150,000 people over three nights, and returned in January 2026. Organisers have a five-year agreement with Phuket, so the island is now EDC’s home in Asia. Here is what you need to plan the trip.

EDC Thailand 2026 at a Glance: Dates, Venue and Tickets
The third edition runs over three nights, Friday 18 to Sunday 20 December 2026, at Rhythm Park, the purpose-built festival ground in the Laguna area of Choeng Thale, a few minutes from Bang Tao Beach.

Tickets are sold only through the official EDC Thailand website and its partners, with 3-day general admission, VIP and bottle-service options. Bring your passport: entry is 20+ and ID is checked at the gate.
EDC and Tomorrowland in One Month
December 2026 is a huge month for electronic music in Thailand. Tomorrowland Thailand runs from 11 to 13 December at Wisdom Valley near Pattaya, and EDC follows one week later in Phuket.
That makes a back-to-back trip possible: Tomorrowland, a few days on the beach, then EDC. Pattaya to Phuket is about an hour’s flight from Bangkok’s airports, or a long drive, so most people fly. Tomorrowland is sold out, so check you have tickets for both before booking.
Why the Move to December?
December is the start of Phuket’s high season. The monsoon is tapering off, skies are clearer, and the island is green after the rains.
It will not be cool: expect warm, humid nights around 25°C and the occasional short shower. The new dates also make EDC a pre-Christmas and New Year celebration, in the busiest travel weeks of the year, so flights and rooms go fast. See our best time to visit Phuket for the weather in December.
The Venue: Rhythm Park
Rhythm Park is a custom-built venue of about 345,000 square metres in Choeng Thale, between Laguna and Bang Tao. It hosts EDC’s signature stages, including kineticFIELD and circuitGROUNDS, plus art installations, carnival rides and fireworks, with Neon Garden added for 2026.

The line-up is announced in phases on the official site and app, spanning house, techno, trance, drum and bass and hardstyle.
Getting to Rhythm Park
Rhythm Park is about 30 km, roughly 30 to 40 minutes, from Phuket International Airport, and a few minutes from Bang Tao Beach.
- Official shuttles: the festival runs shuttle options; check the official site for pickup points.
- Grab and Bolt: easy on the way in, but expect long waits and surge prices when the gates close.
- Stay close: staying in Bang Tao or Laguna means a short ride, or even a walk, home.
- Avoid driving: parking and traffic around the venue are heavy at peak times.
Hotel EDC, Wellness and Island Days
Hotel EDC returns at Angsana Laguna Phuket, a resort takeover with festival-themed events that bundles rooms with passes. It is the only Hotel EDC outside the USA.
Between festival nights, use your days to recover: a Thai massage, a quiet beach, or an island day trip to Phi Phi or Phang Nga Bay; see our island hopping guide.
Survival Guide for Festival Week
December is peak season, and two festivals make it busier. A few rules help:
- Book accommodation now: rooms near Laguna and Bang Tao sell out and prices climb as December nears.
- Pace yourself: if you are doing both festivals, treat the days in between as rest days.
- Budget for peak prices: flights, rooms and rides cost more in December than in April.
- Plan for humidity: light, breathable clothes, a hydration pack if allowed, and electrolytes.
- Bring your passport: ID is checked for the 20+ age limit.
What to Pack for EDC Thailand
Pack for three warm, humid nights on your feet:
- Your passport or Thai ID, and your ticket or wristband.
- Comfortable, closed shoes: you will walk and dance for hours on grass and gravel.
- Light, breathable clothes, plus a thin rain layer for a passing shower.
- Earplugs, a power bank and a small bag that closes securely.
- Insect repellent: mosquitoes are active after dark near the lagoons and the grassy areas.
Check the official list of prohibited items before you go, as bags are searched at the entrance, and leave valuables you do not need in your room.
A Sample Festival Week in Phuket
With three festival nights, the days are yours. A relaxed plan:
- Before Friday: arrive a day or two early, settle into Bang Tao and pick up anything you forgot.
- Festival days: sleep late, eat a proper meal in the afternoon, swim at Bang Tao, then head to Rhythm Park after sunset.
- After Sunday: a quiet beach day at Mai Khao or Nai Yang in the north, or an island trip, before flying home.
