Terminal 21 Pattaya is the airport-themed shopping mall on North Pattaya Road, open daily from 11:00 am, with a different world city on every floor and a cheap food court, Pier 21, on the third floor. You will spot it from the road by the airliner parked on a pole out front.
Most visitors come for the novelty and stay for lunch. The themed floors make good photos, but the real reason to go is practical: air conditioning on a hot afternoon, a supermarket, a cinema and a budget food court. This guide covers the hours, what is on each floor, how Pier 21 works, tourist services and how to get there.

What Terminal 21 Pattaya Is
Terminal 21 is a shopping mall built like an airport terminal, opened on 19 October 2018 as an upgraded copy of the Terminal 21 mall in Bangkok. The opening report in Pattaya Mail gave it 180,000 square metres of retail space and a 6-billion-baht price tag (Pattaya Mail).
Each floor of Terminal 21 represents a different world destination, and the 32-storey Grande Centre Point Pattaya hotel rises above the mall with direct access to it (Grande Centre Point Pattaya).

Opening Hours
Terminal 21 opens every day at 11:00 am. The official website gives two closing times, 10:00 pm in one place and 11:00 pm in another (as of October 2026). Visit Thailand Today, updated in October 2026, lists Monday to Thursday 11:00 am to 10:00 pm and Friday to Sunday 11:00 am to 11:00 pm (Visit Thailand Today), which matches both.
The safe plan is to treat 10:00 pm as closing on weeknights, and to check the official site or ask at the information counter on the ground floor if you are going late. Restaurants and the cinema can keep their own hours.
Floor by Floor: What Is Where
Terminal 21 has six shopping floors, and each is themed as a city with its own type of shop (Terminal 21). Knowing the theme saves walking: food is on the 3rd floor, the cinema on the 4th, and the supermarket on the M floor.
| Floor | Theme | What is there |
|---|---|---|
| G | Paris Street | Fashion brands, cosmetics |
| M | London Street | Supermarket, fashion, sports brands |
| 1 | Italy Street | Health and beauty, banks, phones |
| 2 | Tokyo Street | Small shops, boutiques, cafes |
| 3 | San Francisco Street | Pier 21 food court, restaurants |
| 4 | Hollywood Street | Cinema, game zone |
The Tokyo floor is the most fun to wander, with sumo wrestler statues among the cafes and small shops. The ground floor is where you will find the information counter, wheelchairs and baby carts.

Pier 21 Food Court
Pier 21 is the food court on the 3rd floor of Terminal 21 (Holiday Inn Pattaya). The menu runs from tom yum and crispy omelettes to sukiyaki beef bowls, mango sticky rice and iced Thai tea.
At Pier 21, payment is by prepaid card. You load money onto a prepaid card at the entrance, tap it at each stall, and get back whatever you have not spent when you return the card before you leave (Visit Thailand Today: Pier 21).
Prices at Pier 21 are low for a mall: Visit Thailand Today lists som tam (green papaya salad) at around 40 THB and pork soup at 55 THB (as of October 2026). For a slower meal, the same floor and the Tokyo floor below have full restaurants and cafes.
Tips for Pier 21
- Load a little less than you think you need; topping up is quick, and refunds mean a second queue.
- Go at weekday lunchtime if you prefer a calmer hall.
- Look at the photo menus over each counter, and point if you are unsure of the name.
The Plane, the Eiffel Tower and Other Photo Spots
Terminal 21 is built for photos. The best-known spot is the full-size airliner model on a pole outside the main entrance, which is why many visitors call it the airplane mall.
Inside, a scale model of the Eiffel Tower stands on the ground floor (Pattaya Mail), and the Italy floor has a Leaning Tower of Pisa. On Tokyo Street, look for the sumo wrestler statues.

Tourist Services and VAT Refunds
Terminal 21 has free wifi, a luggage deposit, wheelchairs and portable phone chargers, which makes it a useful stop on the day you check out (Terminal 21 customer service).
- Information counter: ground floor (Paris), where you also register for the free wifi.
- Luggage: deposit and delivery service on the 2nd floor (Tokyo).
- Wheelchairs, baby carts, first aid: ground floor (Paris).
- Portable chargers: on every floor.
Many shops in Terminal 21 offer a VAT refund for tourists with a minimum spend of 2,000 THB in the store (as of October 2026), and the mall’s Tourist Privilege page lists shop-by-shop discounts (Tourist Privilege). Ask for the VAT refund form when you pay and keep your passport with you.
Getting There and Parking
Terminal 21 is on North Pattaya Road beside the Dolphin Roundabout, and one easy way there is a baht bus (songthaew, the pick-up trucks with benches in the back). The official site lists three routes that pass the mall: Pattaya-Naklua, route 6 (circular) and route 7 (North Pattaya to central Pattaya) (How to go).
- Baht bus: check the route with the driver before you get on, and press the buzzer when you see the plane.
- Taxi or ride-hailing: about 10 minutes from central Pattaya without traffic.
- Driving: the parking building has spaces for 1,500 cars and 1,000 motorbikes.
If you are coming from the beach, our Pattaya Beach guide covers the city bay, and our Wongamat Beach guide covers the calmer north end.
Terminal 21 vs Central Pattaya
Central Pattaya (formerly CentralFestival Pattaya Beach) is the other big mall, on Beach Road at about Soi 9, open since 2009 (Wikipedia). The two suit different trips.
| Terminal 21 | Central Pattaya | |
|---|---|---|
| Location | North Pattaya, roundabout | Beach Road, central |
| Feel | Themed, playful | Large, polished |
| Best for | Cheap food court, photos | Department store, Beach Road |
If you are staying in North Pattaya, Naklua or Wongamat, Terminal 21 is the closer and easier choice. If you are already on Beach Road, Central Pattaya is a walk away.
Is Terminal 21 Pattaya Worth a Visit?
Terminal 21 Pattaya is worth an hour or two, especially at lunchtime or on a rainy afternoon. Pier 21 alone justifies the trip if you want cheap Thai food in air conditioning, and the themed floors are more fun than a normal mall.
It is not a destination for a whole day, and the shops are mostly the same brands you find in any big Thai mall. Pair it with the beach or an evening out: our things to do in Pattaya guide and the Thepprasit Night Market are good next stops.
Where to Stay Near Terminal 21 Pattaya
